McRae in secret Skoda test
Speculation that Colin McRae could return to the World Rally Championship in 2005 have increased dramatically following news that the former world champion conducted a secret test for Skoda in Spain earlier this week

McRae has not competed in a WRC event since last November's Wales Rally GB and his programme this year has been limited to rally-raid events for Nissan - which included a victory in the Portuguese Baja event last week. He is contracted to the Japanese manufacturer for January's Dakar Rally.
However, there remains the possibility that McRae could agree to a limited programme with Skoda in the WRC next season - possibly sharing a drive with rising Irish star Kris Meeke, whom he has supported for the last few years in junior categories.
McRae himself has ruled out a full campaign - feeling that a full 16-rally season would be too much for him.
"I would be interested in a limited programme," he told The Guardian. "There's nothing definite. I'm fairly open to anything. In the right place Kris could do a good job. If I can do something for the two of us I will, but I've got to look after myself."
