Loeb vows to attack in Argentina
Sebastien Loeb has vowed to go on the attack from the outset of next weekend's Rally Argentina, in an attempt to make up some of the deficit from starting first on the road
Because of Loeb's success in previous events, he will be forced to act as 'road sweeper' on the gravely Argentinian roads, and fears that like in the Rally Mexico last month, it could benefit those starting down the order.
"In Mexico, Petter [Solberg] profited from his starting order and proved that he was still in the pace on gravel," Loeb said. "But then Marcus [Gronholm], who started ahead of me, had a rather long road cleaning session was four seconds ahead of us.
"So, the strategy is very simple: opening the road, we will have to drive flat out from the very first metre and clean the road on more than 110 kilometres.
"Marcus will start just behind me and Petter will only have four cars in front of him. I just hope that on Friday night the victory will still be possible.
"In the opposite case, we will see. With thee consecutive wins and a small cushion in the championship leader board, it gives us a bit of fresh air."
