Hakkinen hints at more rallies
Double F1 champion Mika Hakkinen says he would consider entering more rallies if he goes well on the Arctic Rally next month
The Finn is contesting the snow rally in a Mitsubishi Lancer WRC and is currently preparing for the event by conducting a three-day test near Rovaniemi in Lapland.
"Let's see how this rally is going to go," the Finn told Reuters. "It will definitely give me more of an idea for what it feels like. If I am in the top two, then probably I will do more."
Hakkinen enjoyed his first test in the Lancer WRC - especially getting to grips with the car's spiked snow tyres.
"I had plenty of time to just spin the car and try the limits. It was a good day," he said. "This car feels fun to drive because you have very long metal spikes in the tyres so we were able to maximise a very fine grip on the ice. It is really interesting to push the car to the limit and go maximum sideways on the ice."
