Citroen calm about Ford's Ogier bid
Citroen Racing director Olivier Quesnel says he is not concerned by Ford's bid to sign Sebastien Ogier
Ogier, who won his first World Rally Championship round in Portugal two month ago, has been at the centre of service park speculation in Bulgaria today following Ford's admission of an approach to put him in a Fiesta RS WRC next year.
Quesnel has offered Ogier a deal to keep him in the Citroen team next season - almost certainly as part of the factory squad. Ogier will make his debut as team-mate to Sebastien Loeb on Rally Finland later this month, when he and Dani Sordo switch places.
"I think Sebastien Ogier likes the colour red, he prefers red to blue - I'm not so anxious," said Quesnel. "If Ford wants to speak to Ogier they can, I can't do anything. I don't mind, it means Ogier is good. We will see what he decides.
"This is the game, but Citroen is used to preparing the young driver and I think Ford should do the same - they have the young driver called Matthew Wilson - it would be better for rallying if they do the same."
