Catalunya- Latest times from stage 10

Hot on the heels of leader Jesus Puras' retirement, there was more drama on the second day of the Rallye Catalunya. While Philippe Bugalski continued to lead in his Citroen, Tommi Makinen, Richard Burns and Harri Rovanpera all received one minute penalties for jumping the start of SS9. Makinen dropped from 4th to 5th as a result, while Burns slipped from 6th back to 9th position.

Fastest on stage 10 was Colin McRae in the Ford Focus, coming back through the field after his earlier engine problems. His Martini Ford team mate Simon Jean-Joseph has now also hit trouble, hydraulics problems costing him two minutes. The delay drops Jean-Joseph out of the top ten and down to 15th place.
