Sebastien Ogier coy on Citroen future talk

Despite an ongoing contract with his current employer, the Frenchman has been linked to Ford and Volkswagen for next season, following his stormy relationship with Citroen and Sebastien Loeb.

Asked whether he would remain in a DS3 WRC beyond the end of this year, Ogier avoided a direct answer.

"For the moment," he said, "I will concentrate on this rally and the end of this season and the only thing I can say is that I have a [Citroen] contract for two more years."

Having talked of helping the team in Citroen's pre-Rallye de France communication, Ogier was unable to expand and precisely what that meant.

"I think you have to ask the team, it's not for me to answer," he said. "My approach is the same as usual to do the best result I can do for myself. As you saw in the last rally, I think my driver championship is over, if you have more question, ask them to the team."

When Ogier's team-mate Sebastien Loeb was asked whether he expected Ogier to fight him for the lead of their home round of the world championship, the seven-time champion said: "That's a good question. In Australia we saw the team took him to help me, but here I didn't speak to the team about any of this.

"For sure it was not easy for the team and for sure Ogier needs to be able to fight for the rallies. It was complicated, but in the end we found some solutions."

Despite reports of continued strained relations between the two, Loeb said: "We are in the same team together and we continue to speak together."
