Shanghai WEC: Toyota tops rain-affected Saturday morning practice

Toyota set the pace in a rain-affected final free practice session ahead of qualifying for the World Endurance Championship finale at Shanghai

Alex Wurz topped the times in the lone Toyota TS030 Hybrid with a 1m48.979s set on slick tyres late in the one-hour session.

That put him just over half a second ahead of Allan McNish in the best of the Audi R18 e-tron quattros.

Andre Lotterer was third fastest in the second Audi, while Danny Watts was best LMP1 privateer aboard the Strakka Racing HPD ARX-03a in fourth position.

OAK Racing led the way in LMP2. Olivier Pla ended up fastest in the team's Morgan-Nissan LMP2 2012 with a time seven tenths clear of Stephane Sarrazin in the Starworks HPD ARX-03b.

Richard Lietz was fastest in GTE Pro aboard the Felbermayr-Proton Porsche 911 GT3-RSR.
