00723CET Race leader JJ Lehto in the BMW 17 pits and Tom Kristensen replaces him. The car is ahead of its team-mate by three laps.
Lehto said the team was trying to keep a good pace now in order to maintain its lead.
'Basically we're trying to get the car home. We've got a good lead, but it's not a lot if something happens,' he added.
0721CET Perry McCarthy brings the Audi (10) into the pits with mechanical trouble.
0710CET Class three leader, the Porsche 996GT3, records its fastest lap of the race and presently lies in 15th place.
0700CET The Nissan 21, currently in eighth place, is pushed into the garage after making a pit stop on its 213th lap. The car had a starter motor problem which mechanics fixed within 10 minutes.
0637CET Race leader BMW 17 (Lehto) in pits for refuelling. Out again quickly. Alboreto's Audi still in the pits and has been stripped in the garage.
0636CET Alboreto in the Audi 7, running in sixth place, stalls on the way out of the pit lane after an unscheduled pitstop. Pushed back in by mechanics.
0631CET BMW 15 and Toyota 3 set their fastest laps - 3:38.345 and 3:37.448 respectively.
