Hour 5: Still close at the front

The fifth hour has seen the fight for second place continue to develop. The Japanese Team Goh Audi has been as close as ten seconds behind the second-placed Bentley of late, following an hour of smooth running since the safety car period. The lead car is still edging away slowly, whilst fourth-placed Champion Audi remains on the lead lap.

In GTS, the Veloqx Prodrive Ferraris are now one and two after the early troubles for the Burt/Davidson/Turner car, which is two minutes behind the Kox/Enge/Davies machine and closing.

Luc Alphand's Ferrari also lost third place in GTS to the number 53 Corvette. The number 50 Corvette is still fighting back after throttle linkage difficulties at the start.

The Racer's Group Porsche has dropped second place in GT as it stands in the pit having a clutch replaced. The Alex Job Racing Porsche continues to lead from the similar Taisan car.

The Pilbeam has pulled off at a distant part of the circuit, which will cost it nothing more than last place. The 675 class is still led by the Reynard-Lehman, but both the MG-Lola and the DBA-Zytek are chasing it down after both receiving early attention in their garages.
