H15: Audi's lead reduced
The No 8 Audi continues to lead the Le Mans 24 Hours, despite a race official temporarily slowing its charge
After a scheduled pitstop towards the end the hour, the car's new driver Marco Werner tried to pull out of the pits only to find a marshal step in front of him to prevent him from coming out because he had only one headlight working.
Despite it having been daylight for two hours, the marshal insisted that the car was pushed back to the pits for the problem to be fixed.
The Audi mechanics quickly replaced the entire nosecone, the incident costing the car approximately two minutes.
The gap back to the second-placed Pescarolo of Franck Montagny is now down to less than two laps.
The No. 007 Aston continues to hold a lap advantage over the Corvette in GT1.
Alex Vasiliev lost fourth in GT1 after getting stuck in the gravel in the No 67 Team Convers Menx Ferrari.
The No 87 Team Scuderia Ecosse Ferrari appear to have lost all chance of a podium finish in GT2, after Andrew Kirkaldy pulled the car into the pits complaining of a wheel vibration.
However the car remains there because his team cannot remove the left rear wheel from the car. The team have tried several solutions but to no avail, and are currently trying a big sledgehammer and chisel.
