17h30m The Corvette squad are ripping the rear bodywork off the #64.
17h31m The reason for this latest safety car intervention is debris on the circuit following that clash between the third placed #1 Peugeot and the GT2 class leading #64 Corvette.
17h32m A handful of ACO marshals are now brushing dirt and earth off the track and removing the debris that came off the #64 Corvette.
17h34m Meanwhile, repairs continue in the #64 garage but that Corvette will take a while to straighten out after that heavy rear-end impact in the Porsche Curves.
17h34m There is damage to the armco barrier at the Porsche curves and the safety crews will want to ensure that this is fixed before the race resumes.
17h36m Several cars are into the pits while the safety car is in control of the race. One of them is the #6 Oreca AIM entry in 11th place.
17h37m Soheil Ayari hands over to Didier Andre in the #6 and he goes to the end of the pitlane to wait in line for the next available safety car queue.
17h39m The circuit is green again and there's an incident straight away.
17h40m The #39 KSM Lola-Judd is punted into the gravel in the Dunlop complex by the Young Driver AMR entry.
17h40m Also in the pits, work continues on the #007 Lola Aston Martin. That car has been grounded for the last half-an-hour but showing as in ninth place.
17h42m Jean de Pourtales is back underway in the #39 following that clash at the restart.
17h45m At the front, the #9 Audi leads by one lap over the #8 car in second spot. Peugeot #1 is now shown as two laps back in third position - still with Anthony Davidson behind the wheel.
17h47m The #77 Porsche is now firmly in control of GT2 and in 17th overall with Marc Lieb at the wheel.
17h48m However, the #95 AF Corse Ferrari is within striking distance of the GT2 leader and a fight for class honours is back on while the #64 is still under repair.
17h50m Nicolas Lapierre pits the #4 Oreca Peugeot from fifth position. No driver change and he rejoins the action, over two minutes behind the fourth placed Audi #7.
17h51m News from Corvette on the #64: "Doug Feehan reports that Manu Collard is alright after the accident. [Oliver] Gavin will take over once repairs are done within the next 5-8 minutes"
17h54m The chase is back on again for the #1 Peugeot after a few laps running at the same speed as the leading Audis. Davidson posts 3m21.328s - four seconds quicker than the second placed #8 and six seconds faster than the leading #9 car.
17h55m The leader pits and Romain Dumas will stay in the Audi #9 car as he takes on fuel only. He is quickly away again.
17h56m LMP2 leader Strakka Racing is up to 9th overall as Danny Watts presses on in the HPD car. David Brabham in the Highcroft entry is now around three laps further behind in 12th overall.
17h58m GT2 second-place man Jean Alesi has a scary moment in the Porsche Curves as he is passed by the #4 Peugeot. They narrowly avoid a repeat of the clash that has derailed the challenge of the #64 Corvette.
18h00m The #64 Corvette is back underway after rapid repairs. Oliver Gavin is at the wheel in the car that has tumbled to fifth in GT2.
18h03m The rapid pace of the #1 Peugeot continues as Davidson reels in another four seconds on the #8 Audi and almost six seconds on the leader. Romain Dumas continues to lead the race by one complete lap.
18h06m On the next lap Davidson takes a further four and five seconds out of the two Audis ahead of him. The #1 Peugeot has without doubt been the fastest car in the field since midnight.
18h07m The #26 Highcroft LMP2 car has been in for a stop, with Marino Franchitti taking over from David Brabham. That car is now 11th overall but still over two laps behind the Strakka.
18h08m The #64 Corvette is back under attention of the mechanics in the pitlane with some lingering issues after that rear-end shunt in the last hour.
18h11m There is some fun both at the front and at the back end of the top ten. Timing and scoring now shows the gap between the two Audis in first and second places as just 35 seconds.
18h13m Also, down in ninth there is a battle for position between the Oreca AIM #9 car and behind it by just two seconds, the leading LMP2 #42 Strakka Racing machine.
18h15m Davidson turns in another whopping lap. This time he posts 3m20.687s and continues to reel in the Audi pair at around four seconds per lap.
18h16m Jean Alesi in the AF Corse Ferrari is around a full lap down on the GT2-leading Felbermayr Porsche, which is now being campaigned by Richard Lietz.

The Ferrari is lapping quicker at the moment but it will take a while to close that gap.
18h18m The second placed #52 Young Driver AMR entry has been into the pits, but it is ten laps behind the leading Larbre Competition car.
18h18m 300 laps now in the books for the leading Audi as Romain Dumas presses on in the #9.
18h20m Over in LMP2 it's still the #42 Strakka Racing HPD in the lead, with Danny Watts currently assuming driving duties. Remarkably the #26 Highcroft HPD is second and the #35 OAK Racing Pescarolo-Judd is third - the trio have held position for the last 13 hours.
18h21m The GT1 leader - #50 Larbre Saleen - is in for a stop. That car is 20th overall and currently behind the leading GT2 contenders but well clear of the Young Driver AMR entry that is second in class.
