LMP1
Kobayashi duly pits and comes back out to retain the lead by just over four seconds ahead of team-mate Hartley in the sister Toyota.
GTE PRO
Vanthoor is back in the pits for an unscheduled pitstop in the #92 Porsche, just a couple of laps after his last visit.
GTE AM
Defending four-time British GT champion Adam has put the #90 TF Sport Aston back into the lead of GTE Am.
The #7 Toyota has held the lead after its stop despite being less than a minute ahead before Kobayashi came in. There was a brief slow zone – where the cars are limited to 80km/h for a portion of the circuit – delayed the #8 car with Hartley at the wheel out on the circuit. Such are the vagaries of sportscar racing.
LMP2
The pitstop cycle currently puts the #32 United Autosports in the lead with Will Owen in the car but he is still due to stop to return to equal terms with the #37 Jackie Chan DC Racing car.
LMP1
With the GTE Pro lead battle on a knife edge, the TV director hasn't shown much of the developing on-track action between the Toyotas. Last time around Kobayashi held a 3.1s advantage over Hartley.
GTE PRO
The lead battle for GTE Pro honours is well and truly on, with Tincknell in the #97 Aston attempting to fend off a fast-charging Rigon in the #71 AF Corse entry.
Pit stop
The chase was short lived as Hartley pits as planned. The two leaders are off sequence with each other but the Kiwi driver had been chipping away at the deficit.

GTE PRO
Tincknell runs wide on the exit of the first chicane on the Mulsanne Straight and is powerless to defend from the #71 of Rigon, who takes the lead. Serra in the #51 is attempting to make it a Ferrari 1-2 in GTE Pro and is within a second of Tincknell.
LMP2
The #35 Eurasia Motorsport with Yamanaka at the wheel has gone off and looks beached in the gravel trap at Arnage.
Slow Zone
A slow zone has duly been called at Arnage so the marshals and a tractor can free the #35 car from the gravel trap. Yamanaka had been way down in 22nd place in the LMP2 class after an earlier off.
GTE AM
Occasional Formula E driver Blomqvist is now leading the GTE Am class in the #72 Hubauto Racing entry, ensuring that Ferraris are leading both GTE Pro and GTE Am.
GTE PRO
Serra has overtaken and dropped Tincknell in the battle for second place in GTE Pro. He sits a couple of seconds adrift of the class leader Rigon in the sister #71 AF Corse.
LMP1
Back to full green flag conditions and an absolutely massive train of cars has formed on the track charging down the Mulsanne Straight. It is causing a lot of work for the #7 Toyota and the #3 Rebellion to pick through without getting tangled in unwanted trouble.
LMP2
United Autosports is definitely where they would want to be at this point in the race. Currently running third (#32) and fourth (#22) in class and in reach of current leader #37 Jackie Chan DC Racing car. With two cars in the mix, it could provide an excellent strategy option come tomorrow morning.
GTE PRO
Our man Filip Cleeren has texted in to say that the #92 Porsche's lengthy stint in the pits is due to a power steering failure. The car remains in the garage, nine laps down on the leaders.
GTE PRO
Speaking of the GTE Pro leaders, the two AF Corse-run Ferraris are enjoying a private battle at the front of the class. Rigon leads Serra, while third-place Tincknell is falling away.
That prolonged slow zone has changed a lot. An advantage of over a minute for the #7 Toyota has been shrunk to not much more than half of that amount. The lead enjoyed by the Jackie Chan DC ORECA in LMP2 grew from 30s to a 1m30s before Tung brought it into the pits. It's not always easy to understand why this kind of thing happens. The idea of the slow zone system is that its more equitable than sending out the safety cars.
Driver Change
Jose Maria Lopez is ready to rip up the Circuit de la Sarthe this evening as he jumps in the #7 Toyota to give Kamui Kobayashi a breather.
GTE AM
Adam has put the #90 TF Sport entry back into the lead of Pro-Am, but it's the polesitting #61 Luzich Racing Ferrari that is hurtling its way back up the field following a spin earlier in the race. That car is just over 16 seconds off the lead.
Yellow flag
Cameron spun the #55 Spirit of Race GTE-Am entry at the Dunlop Curve, which briefly requires a yellow flag. He's rejoined and the race is back to green flag running. Cameron heads for the pits to replace those flat-spotted tyres.
LMP1
After that pitstop and driver change for the #7 Toyota, the sister car has duly taken the lead with Hartley at the wheel of the #8 car. After this slow zone we'll be able to give a proper update on the new time gap.
Slow Zone
The #56 Team Project 1 Porsche has been slapped with a drive-through penalty for not going slow enough in a slow zone. Speaking of slow zones, there's a slow zone! Marshalls are picking up debris.
LMP1
That gap between the Toyotas is now 32 seconds with the slow zone removed. Hartley leads from Lopez with the #3 Rebellion currently third almost a full lap back with Nato now at the wheel.
GTE AM
Four-time British GT champion Adam in the #90 TF Sport entry leads two-time Daytona 24 Hours winner Farfus in the GT 'amatuer' class.
The #1 Rebellion has gone a lap down, little more than five hours into the race. Menezes was three minutes off the lead before he pitted, and then a slow stop of just over a minute and a half while Nato was strapped in has dropped him off the lead lap. The R-13 was mega in the night last year, but rain is on its way and the car always struggles on a wet track.
GTE AM
The good news? Dominique Bastien has become the oldest man to ever race at Le Mans at the age of 74 after finally taking to the wheel of the #88 Dempsey Proton Racing. The car had previously 'retired' following an incident for Preining.
The bad news? He's had an off at Arnage.
The bad news? He's had an off at Arnage.
Driver Change
On schedule the #8 Toyota pits which allows Hartley to jump out and hand over to Nakajima. A Toyota mechanic has got his arms deep in the front-right corner of the car which has cost a whole chunk of time.
GTE AM
Farfus has taken the #98 Aston into the lead of GTE-Am as Cameron finally returns the double-punctured #55 Ferrari to the pits.
LMP1
After that lengthy pitstop the #7 Toyota now leads by 90 seconds over the sister car. Still a long way to go in this race but that is almost half a lap of the circuit.
Twitter
GTE PRO
The two GTE Pro leading Ferrari AF Corse cars are making their pitstops. There was little separating Rigon and Serra prior to their sixth stops of the race. Rigon is the first man in, which hands the lead to Serra in the sister car.
LMP1
"Brake duct cooling issues," is the line from Toyota about the lengthy pitstop for the #8 car. Plenty of rubber debris, tree leaves plus hopes and dreams to pick up in September at Le Mans. Not sure the latter two will cause much of a problem for the brake ducts, mind.
Information
The sun has set over Le Mans, according to our weather app at least, so it is officially nighttime. That's about two hours earlier than it goes down in June.
Twitter
Driver Change
Serra has handed over the #51 AF Corse Ferrari to Calado, who re-joins the circuit in second place in GTE Pro behind the sister #71 AF Corse. Lynn - who lost his Jagaur Formula E drive to Calado last year - has stepped into the third-place #97 Aston.
LMP2
Trouble for the #33 High Class Racing, which narrowly avoided being dragged into a clash about 90 minutes ago. The car is wheeled into the garage with Fjordback at the wheel.
Pit stop
LMP2 leader #37 Jackie Chan DC Racing pits with Aubry now in the car. When he heads back out he'll have Formula E star Vergne chasing him in the #26 G-Drive Racing car.
