All-HRT front row at Phillip Island
The Holden Racing Team of Todd Kelly and Mark Skaife have secured the front row for the first race of this weekend's Caterpillar Grand Finale at Phillip Island
Kelly was fastest in qualifying and backed it up in the shootout, where he was joined on the front row by Skaife who improved from his fifth fastest time in qualifying.
Toll HSV Dealer Team's Garth Tander lines up third, just thousandths slower in the shootout than Skaife, as he tries to overhaul Ford Performance Racing's Mark Winterbottom for third in the championship.
Winterbottom will start seventh, while his teammate Jason Bright will start alongside Tander on the second row in fourth place.
The main business of the weekend however is the battle for the V8 Supercar championship. Both of the contenders made the top 10 shootout, Triple Eight's Craig Lowndes setting the fifth fastest time while current championship leader Toll HSV's Rick Kelly was ninth fastest.
With Kelly heading into race one with a seven point advantage, there is a strong possibility the championship could be even closer after today's first race, leaving Sunday's two races to determine the champion.
