NAT: Wearden prepares for Rally GB assault
Neil Wearden has been gearing up for this month's Network Q Rally of Great Britain, in which he will mark his first anniversary at Vauxhall
The Astra star has been cycling up to 40 miles a day around the forests of the Lake District as he prepares for the gruelling three-day, 1,155-mile event.
'The first half of this season was pretty good but I've had my share of bad luck in the second half, so I want to end the year with a finish, which would be a great confidence boost ahead of the 2000 British Rally Championship,' said the Blackpool driver.
'And if you finish this rally without having any major dramas along the way, you will finish well.
'I think I am capable of running consistently in the top three in Formula Two and finishing in the top three.
'If any of the other drivers hit trouble, then a win is not out of the question, but my main aim is to get to the end in Cheltenham.'
