JHR drivers find alternative Ginetta drives after team's suspension
Five of the eight JHR Developments Ginetta drivers, including Junior points leader Seb Priaulx, have already secured seats with alternative teams for the rest of 2017 following the team's suspension
JHR has been suspended from competing in Ginetta categories for the rest of the year while Ginetta investigates its conduct.
Three of the team's Junior drivers were excluded from the Thruxton meeting earlier this year with alleged illegal engines and, despite the team successfully appealing the decision at the National Court, Ginetta wanted to investigate the team further.
Ginetta said the JHR drivers would not receive any sanctions and were free to continue competing with different teams, with Priaulx - son of three-time World Touring Car champion Andy - among those to already secure a team change.
He will now compete for the title-winning HHC Motorsport squad.
"This has been a tough situation to deal with over the past few months and I'm relieved to be going into the final races with a clear mind," said Priaulx.
"Naturally we are disappointed to have had to split from JHR Developments, with whom I've had some great success over the past 18 months or so, especially at such a pivotal time of the season with only three meetings remaining.
"HHC Motorsport are a highly successful and respected team in the Ginetta Junior paddock.
"I'm looking forward to working with them and I'm confident we can enjoy a successful end to the season together."
Priaulx will be joined at HHC by scholarship driver Adam Smalley, while Tom Gamble - currently second in the standings - will move to Elite Motorsport.
Two more of JHR's Junior drivers, Matt Luff and Finley Green, are due to test for new teams next week ahead of making a decision on where to go.
Both of JHR's GT4 Supercup racers, George Gamble and Seb Perez, have secured switches to Rob Boston Racing.
