Stewart wins Budweiser Shootout

Tony Stewart got his 2007 Daytona 500 campaign off to a great start by winning Saturday night's Budweiser Shootout at Daytona International Speedway

He took the lead after Kyle Busch, who took the lead after the race's only caution, was worked loose by Stewart through turns one and two on lap 63 of 70, holding off the rest of the field to the chequered flag.

As Stewart took his third Shootout win in his Chevrolet, cars scattered behind him after Dale Earnhardt Jr got into the back of Elliott Sadler coming off turn four.

Greg Biffle and 2006 Shootout winner Denny Hamlin were also caught up in the wreck.

David Gilliland in a Ford took second with Kurt Busch in a Dodge completing the top three. Toyota's best finisher was Brian Vickers in eighth, who led two laps for the Japanese marque early in the race.

Two cars didn't make it to the finish, Ryan Newman retiring after an engine failure while electrical problems slowed Jeff Gordon before he decided to park his car.
