Stewart criticises Kyle Busch
Reigning Nextel Cup champion Tony Stewart has slammed NASCAR rival Kyle Busch's driving in the Daytona 500
Busch was penalised late in the race by NASCAR for aggressive driving, having already been told to calm down over the radio by officials.
Stewart, who got into trouble of his own with officials for colliding with Matt Kenseth, had some harsh words to say about 20 year-old Busch, who holds the record for being the youngest winner in the sport.
"Kyle Busch ran me down on the grass," Stewart said. "I was taken off the racetrack twice. Kyle Busch, he's the one guy that's probably going to hurt somebody out there. He's all over the place. He's what we like to call a bird with no feathers.
"He just doesn't know where he's going. He had a fast car, he just needs to learn how to drive the thing.
"He's got talents; that's why he got in here in the first place. With more times he gets a chance to run at certain race tracks the better he'll get."
Busch however, claimed that he had moved back to give Stewart room following their incident and that Stewart was then hit by someone else.
Busch said: "I got a little bit loose off turn 2, I think it was from the 20 car [Stewart] pushing me a little bit. He got underneath me and was able to get alongside. I tried getting back down in front of him but it was too late.
"I ran him below the yellow line I guess, but I moved back to give him room. I think he was almost by me and I think someone hit him from behind and sent him back on the apron."
