Montoya confirmed for Iowa race
Juan Pablo Montoya will continue his stock car learning process next weekend in the ARCA RE/MAX Series final round, which will take place at Iowa Speedway
Montoya successfully made his debut in the series last Friday, qualifying on the front row and finishing third on a shortened race at Talladega.
The Colombian has already tested in September at Iowa Speedway, which was designed and is owned by former NASCAR Cup champion Rusty Wallace.
"Iowa Speedway is a tough track and will be a real test for me," Montoya said. "The hardest thing for me during the test was the braking. I got up to speed pretty quick, but I wasn't racing with anyone else.
"I'm looking forward to the short track experience, especially at such a great facility. Rusty (Wallace) built a great race track."
Montoya will be testing this Monday at Talladega with Chip Ganassi's Cup Car of Tomorrow and will then run at Memphis, before racing next Sunday at Iowa.
The Prairie Meadows 250 is scheduled to begin at 2:30pm local time on Sunday, October 15th.
