Kyle Busch on Lowe's pole again
Kyle Busch claimed back-to-back pole positions at Lowe's Motor Speedway after being fastest in qualifying for the Coca-Cola 600, a week after taking pole for the Sprint All-Star Challenge at the same track

The current points leader set a fastest lap of 29.121 seconds at an average speed of 185.433 mph to score his second pole of the season and the fourth of his Sprint Cup Series career, following some set-up changes after the afternoon practice.
"We knew that we had to learn something and try something, so whatever it was it worked," Busch said.
"I'm not really sure exactly what we did but they just put [the car] up back on scales and went back through it and hopefully they found something that was either a little bit off or changed something that we may actually have learned."
All-Star winner Kasey Kahne was able to maintain the speed he showed last week to take second on the grid for Sunday after sitting on pole for a while. The Gillett Evernham driver claimed his best qualifying result of the year and hopes to repeat the success of last week in an event he won two years ago.
"That was a good lap for us," Kahne said. "It just wasn't good enough to stand up for the pole. We made some adjustments that went in the right direction for us. I was a little bit free coming off turn 3, but other that that, it was good, clean lap that will allow us to start up front and gain a great pit stall."
Brian Vickers also had his best qualifying result of the year and will start third in his Red Bull Toyota, while Roush Fenway's Greg Biffle was fourth and the fastest among the Fords. His teammate David Ragan, who had been fastest in practice, rounded up the top-five.
Dale Earnhardt Jr was sixth and best among the Chevrolets. He had been third fastest in the afternoon practice and has been running comfortably fastest of the Hendrick Motorsports camp, although he anticipates a tough race on Sunday.
"The car is going to be a challenge," Earnhardt said. "Just mentally trying to talk yourself in to working that hard, for that long of a period of time. Those last 100 miles are really, really tough. You have to just continually remind yourself what is at stake. It is going to be a challenge, but we are up to the challenge."
Sam Hornish Jr was fastest of the drivers who needed to make the field on time, running a very quick second lap after having a 'moment' on his first try. Sterling Marlin also made the field replacing Dario Franchitti and will start from 26th, ahead of Red Bull's AJ Allmendinger.
"I was glad we didn't put it in the fence," Hornish said. "It got a little scary there going into [turn] one on the first lap. We weren't really sure. We thought the track was going to tighten up a whole lot more than it did and we had a feeling that it wasn't going to after running the Nationwide car.
"We kind of backed up a little bit on some of our changes. Probably should have went some more."
Also making the field was Ken Schrader driving a fourth entry for Richard Childress Racing, as well as Canadian Patrick Carpentier.
With forty-eight cars entered for the event, five of them were sent home following the session. Jeff Green, Stanton Barrett, Jon Wood, Joe Nemechek and Tony Raines all failed to make the field.
