Jeff Burton wins Dover Busch

Jeff Burton moved up to joint fourth on the all-time NASCAR Busch winners list with his 22nd career victory it the stonebridgeracing.com 200 at Dover International Speedway

Burton took the lead with 18 laps to go, having gambled by staying out on track at the final caution period when many rivals came in to change all four tyres.

The move proved to be the right one, and Burton was able to hold off Carl Edwards to take his second victory of the year.

"I thought it was a risky call but we had a great car," Burton said. "That was a heck of a race. I was very loose but I needed some time to get the car working. I'm really proud of this victory. The cool thing was it was good, clean, hard racing."

Edwards finished second having come into the pits on his final stop to change all four tyres. Despite the new rubber, he was unable to catch up to Burton.

Kurt Busch finished third of four regular NASCAR Nextel runners, ahead of Clint Bowyer, who like Burton, had elected to stay out in the final moments.

Ron Hornaday was the highest placed non-Nextel Cup runner in fifth.
