Harvick takes Busch pole at Loudon

Reigning Busch Series champion Kevin Harvick claimed pole position for the Camping World 200 at New Hampshire International Speedway

Harvick, who returns this weekend to the Busch Series after missing the last three races, posted a fastest lap of 29.449 seconds, at an average speed of 129.335 mph in the No. 21 Richard Childress Chevrolet.

"The [car] was pretty good, but I left a little on the table in (turns) one and two," said Harvick, who got his best time in the second lap of his run, beating the previous benchmark set by points leader Carl Edwards, by 0.012 seconds.

The Roush Fenway driver will start beside Harvick on the front row, while another RCR car driven by Clint Bowyer will start from third.

Bobby Santos, making only his third ever Busch series start, was fourth and fastest among the Toyotas, claiming also his best qualifying result thus far and beating Milwaukee winner Denny Hamlin who was sixth.

Juan Pablo Montoya continued to carry his momentum, claiming seventh on the grid for today's race as the fastest Dodge qualifier. On Friday he had been fifth fastest in the opening practice and then topped the charts in the rookies session before sitting out the final practice.

Montoya is in his first weekend with Brian Pattie as his new crew chief, following the switch from Brad Parrott, who had been with the Colombian since his Busch debut at Memphis last year.

Matt Kenseth was eighth while Nextel Cup pole-sitter Dave Blaney was ninth, although he will have to start from the back of the grid after being late for the driver's meeting.

Tony Stewart will then take Blaney's place on the grid driving the No. 33 car for Kevin Harvick Inc.

Ian Henderson was the only driver who failed to qualify.
