Hamlin wins Darlington Busch
Denny Hamlin won his second race of 2006 as he took victory in the Diamond Hill Plywood 200 at Darlington Raceway on Friday night
Hamlin held off a group of challengers in the closing laps after taking the lead following pit stops at a caution with about 30 laps to go.
Despite a series of late cautions, Matt Kenseth, who had led just before the caution, was unable to make a move on Hamlin, with Jamie McMurray, also a leader earlier in the race, finishing third.
Mark Martin and a charging Greg Biffle completed the top five placings.
A late-race incident for Tony Stewart cost him a top ten finish, Stewart ending the race on the lead lap but in 29th place.
A seventh place finish for Kevin Harvick consolidated his lead in the points standing, while Hamlin's win moved him up to third overall.
