Christopher tops Nazareth test times
The pole record for the First Union 200 at Nazareth Speedway may be under threat if yesterday's testing is taken into account
Ted Christopher led the way, clocking a speed of 129.776mph (22.74 seconds); the qualifying record was set two years ago by Elton Sawyer with a time of 27.762 sec at 129.674mph.
Other drivers out testing at Nazareth included the Slim Jims team's Terry Labonte, who has not raced at the circuit for 10 years. He said of his impending return, 'I remember this track bbeinbg difficult. I'm really looking forward to the race. We have a good Busch team - we're a little inconsistent, but we are getting better.'
