Trummer switches to MW Arden

Simon Trummer will move across to the MW Arden team for his second season in GP3

The 21-year-old Swiss racer drove for Jenzer in the inaugural championship this year, starting strongly with sixth place in the opening round but finding it harder to repeat that form.

Trummer then joined MW Arden for post-season testing, and team manager Julian Rouse said he made a strong impression.

"He is a young, very talented driver who is very dedicated and works very well with everyone in the team," Rouse said. "We were very impressed with his professionalism and his speed at all six of the post-season test days and we are all confident he can compete right at the front of the GP3 championship in 2011 with us."

Trummer added: "It's a privilege for me to drive for MW Arden next season. At the GP3 testing in Estoril and Jerez the co-operation between me and the team already functioned very well. The team's support is very professional and its attention on every detail is very good."

MW Arden's best results of the first GP3 season were a pair of podium finishes for Spanish driver Miki Monras.
