Andersen to drive for Midtjylland
Danish driver Kasper Andersen has signed up to race for his home nation's entry, FC Midtjylland, in the Superleague Formula this season
The 24-year-old raced for Greek club Olympiacos in Superleague last season and is looking forward to representing a Danish club in the coming season.
"It's a great honour and very special for me to be representing FC Midtjylland," said Andersen. "The club is extremely ambitious and its move into Superleague just how far it has come.
"Superleague provides a level playing field as we all start with identical cars, so I'm optimistic that FC Midtjylland will be able to establish itself among the major challengers for top honours.
"On a personal front, I really enjoyed racing these cars last year and I can't wait to get back behind the wheel, even more so as I'll be racing for a Danish team."
FC Midtjylland president Bo Olesen added: "As a football club we pride ourselves in our youth development programme, and now we are hoping to help one of our country's brightest motorsport prospects to fulfill his potential.
"We are looking forward to working with Kasper and celebrating some success together. He has already proved his ability to compete and beat some of the world's best drivers and we are confident he will achieve great results on track for FC Midtjylland."
