Baguette, Meijer join Superleague

Bertrand Baguette and Paul Meijer will make their Superleague Formula debuts in round three of the inaugural championship at Zolder this weekend

Belgian driver Baguette, who has a solitary victory to his name this season in the Formula Renault 3.5 World Series, will race the Al-Ain entry - replacing GP2 race winner Andi Zuber, who is bound for the forthcoming GP2 Asia series.

"I don't know anything yet about the car or about the club," said Baguette. "I've got a lot to learn, but I'm grateful for the opportunity to race."

Dutch driver Meijer, who has two victories from three seasons in Formula Renault Eurocup 2.0 since 2003, becomes the third Dutchman to race in the series - joining AC Milan driver Robert Doornbos and PSV Eindhoven's Yelmer Buurman.

He replaces another GP2 Asia driver Nelson Phillipe in the car, which failed to finish either race in its home event at the Nurburgring two weeks ago.

Meanwhile, Glaswegian former Champ Car racer Ryan Dalziel returns to the Rangers car after skipping the last round to race a Michael Shank Ford Riley in Grand-Am.
