With MotoGP roaring back into action after a short breather, Brno hosts the Czech Grand Prix which is round three of the reshuffled 2020 season. Here's how to watch qualifying

Reigning world champion Marc Marquez remains out of action following further surgery to fix the plate in his broken right arm, with the plate becoming damaged after he tried "to open a window" at home.

Stefan Bradl has stepped in as replacement for the injured Spaniard and brought up the rear in FP1, 1.8s off pace-setting Honda stablemate Takaaki Nakagami on the LCR machine.

But it was MotoGP championship leader Fabio Quartararo who charged to the top of the combined timesheets late on during Friday afternoon's FP2 session to beat Petronas SRT Yamaha team-mate Franco Morbidelli by just 0.007 seconds.

Miguel Oliveira impressed on his Tech3 KTM in take third place, ahead of Johann Zarco on the Avintia Ducati, as factory Yamaha's Maverick Vinales rounded out the top five.

With another time attack anticipated in FP3 to secure the top 10 automatic Q2 spots ahead of qualifying, the likes of Valentino Rossi, Alex Rins, Danilo Petrucci and Andrea Dovizioso will all be expected to surge up the order, having ended Friday off the pace.

What time does qualifying for the Czech Republic MotoGP start?

Qualifying for the Czech Republic MotoGP is set to start at 2:10pm local time (1:10pm BST), using the regular Q1 and Q2 sessions format.

Qualifying takes place directly after the 30-minute FP4 session which is set to start at 1:30pm local time (12:30pm BST).

The fastest 10 MotoGP riders on the FP1-2-3 combined timesheet automatically head into Q2, with the rest of the riders entering Q1 of qualifying. The two riders who are fastest in the 15-minute Q1 session will progress into Q2 to compete with the top 10 from practice.

Q2, which also lasts 15 minutes, decides who gets pole position and the qualifying order for the front four rows of the grid.
