Lorenzo desperate to return to form

Jorge Lorenzo is desperate to put his string of disappointments behind him and get back to form in the Czech Grand Prix

The rookie has suffered three huge accidents this year, the most recent in the last race at Laguna Seca, and admitted that he has struggled to find the confidence to ride at limit following a string of broken bones in his legs, ankles, and feet.

But the four-week summer break has given him time to recover and he's hoping to reproduce the performances from the start of the season when he took the first three poles of the year and won at Estoril.

"I'm going to Brno with high hopes and trying not to think about the disappointment of Laguna, it's behind me now," he said.

"Physically, I feel very good after the crash and the injuries. I definitely feel as good as could be expected. It's the first time this season I've really had proper time to recover, so I think I'm in good shape.

"I'm still using my crutches to walk but I have been able to do some training and I know that I won't have a problem when I arrive at Brno on Thursday."

Lorenzo says Brno is a circuit he favours and has gone well at in the past, so he hopes he will regain his momentum there.

"In the USA I was fast once again and I hope I can carry on like this in the Czech Republic, I know I can. Brno is a circuit I like a lot, it's one of my favourites and I've won there three times in 125cc and 250cc.

"It's a good place for my riding style and the weather is normally perfect."
