KTM and Tech3 unveil 2025 MotoGP liveries

The beleaguered Austrian marque will remain in MotoGP this year despite doubts over its long-term future

KTM and its satellite team Tech3 revealed the liveries for their 2025 bikes in a joint event in Malaysia on Thursday.

The factory KTM Racing team has retained its familiar orange and dark blue colour scheme this year, with logos of title sponsor Red Bull again being displayed prominently on the bike.

Meanwhile, Tech3 will adopt the same livery as the factory team, having previously ran all-red bikes in 2023-24 to promote the company’s GasGas brand.

The change also signals a deeper collaboration between the two teams, with KTM now seeing Tech3 as an extension of the factory.

Both KTM and Tech3 have refreshed their rider line-ups this year, with rookie sensation Pedro Acosta promoted to the factory squad team alongside Brad Binder, and Tech3 attracting race winners Maverick Vinales and Enea Bastianini from Aprilia and Ducati respectively.

Jack Miller and Augusto Fernandez, who raced at the GasGas-branded Tech3 squad last year, have been dropped altogether from KTM’s roster.

KTM is committed to competing in MotoGP in 2025 despite entering self-administration due to unsold stocks and mounting debts.

The future of the Austrian manufacturer will be decided on 25 February, when creditors will put a final vote on its insolvency plan.

KTM has become an important fixture in MotoGP since it joined the series for the first time in 2017, although it hasn’t been able to achieve its target of winning a championship yet.

In 2024, it finished second in the manufacturers’ standings, a long way off the dominant Ducati but comfortably clear of third-placed Aprilia.

It last scored a race victory in 2022 with Miguel Oliveira at the Thailand Grand Prix.
