Grapevine: Stoner beats Massa in ice kart race

Casey Stoner beat Felipe Massa to victory in the ice karting race that closed Ducati and Ferrari's traditional pre-season Madonna di Campiglio ski event in Italy

Ducati's factory MotoGP riders Stoner and Nicky Hayden, plus test rider Vittoriano Guareschi, took on Formula One championship runner-up Massa and Ferrari's test driver Luca Badoer.

With Kimi Raikkonen having to leave the camp early due to illness and Marc Gene heading to Vairano for a private Ferrari F1 test ultimately cancelled due to bad weather, Massa's younger brother Eduardo was invited to complete the field.

Stoner secured the win with a penultimate lap pass on the elder Massa, while Hayden beat Badoer, Guareschi and Eduardo Massa to the final podium spot.
