Capirossi to attend British GP
Loris Capirossi admits it will be frustrating not to be able to race at this weekend's British Grand Prix, although the Italian will attend the Donington race
Rizla Suzuki rider Capirossi will be replaced by American Ben Spies after injuring his right hand during the Catalan Grand Prix. The veteran rider is expecting to be able to return to action in the next race in Assen.
Despite not racing, the Italian will travel to Donington to assist both Spies and Chris Vermeulen.
"I'm incredibly disappointed that I'm coming to a MotoGP and not racing," said Capirossi. "But it is a pleasure to come and support the team and continue with all the promotional events surrounding the team's home Grand Prix.
"I know what an important event this is to everybody and I will be around to help out as much as I can and supporting both the guys - even though I know it will be so difficult to watch when all I want to do is ride.
"Being at Donington will make me even more determined to get back on the GSV-R at Assen, and that is certainly what I will be doing my best to achieve."
