Aleix Espargaro only wants factory Suzuki ride for 2015 MotoGP

Aleix Espargaro says a factory Suzuki ride is the only option he is now interested in for the 2015 MotoGP season

The Spaniard has been a hot property on the rider market after dominating the old CRT division for the past two years and then starring on an Open class Forward Yamaha in 2014.

He took pole at Assen and currently holds sixth in the championship.

Espargaro has long been linked to a Suzuki deal, and confirmed at Indianapolis this week that his management was no longer considering any other offers.

"Everybody knows that my priority is to join Suzuki next year, but it's not fixed yet," he said.

"I hope it's going to be done in the next few weeks.

"Before Germany we had a couple of good options and we decided to stop and think about all the options during the summer break.

"In the last week we've decided to just keep working with Suzuki. It's my priority but we have a lot of different things to do still."

Reigning Moto3 champion Maverick Vinales, who is currently third in Moto2 in his rookie season in the intermediate category, has admitted he is also in talks with Suzuki.

Forward announced earlier this week that it had signed Stefan Bradl for 2015, following the news the German would be leaving LCR Honda to make way for ex-Ducati rider Cal Crutchlow next year.

Espargaro said Forward caught him unaware with the announcement of Bradl's deal.

"It surprised me - I was in New York and I just saw him [Bradl] Tweet that he had joined Forward Racing," Espargaro added.

"I wish him good luck, he will find a really good team family, and I hope he's not really fast and I can beat him..."
