And that concludes our live coverage for the Italian GP. Keep reading Motorsport.com and Autosport for live news, updates and features straight from the Mugello paddock.

One can't help but wonder how this race would have panned out if di Giannantonio and Fernandez weren't bogged down at the start.

Indeed, Bagnaia has been voted the rider of the race by the fans!

While Aprilia leaves Mugello as the big winner, a big shootout also goes to Ducati duo Bagnaia and Marquez, who finished third and seventh respectively

Bezzecchi's Sunday results so far

Buriram: 1st

Goiania: 1st

Austin: 1st

Jerez: 2nd

Le Mans: 2nd

Barcelona: 4th

Mugello: 1st

And Bezzecchi is finally back in the pitlane. The celebrations continue for the Italian

Bezzecchi has still not finished his cooldown lap. He is relishing every single moment

Top 10

  1. Bezzecchi
  2. Martin
  3. Bagnaia
  4. Ogura
  5. Di Giannantonio
  6. Acosta
  7. Marquez
  8. Fernandez
  9. Aldeguer
  10. Moreira

Even Massimo Rivola is in tears. This will go down as one of the biggest moments for Aprilia in 2026.

Marco Bezzecchi appears quite emotional on the cool-down lap. He has been in incredible form since the latter part of 2025, but this win must be special for both him and Aprilia!

And Francesco Bagnaia holds on to third place to make it back-to-back podiums in MotoGP. Ai Ogura rapidly closed in on him in the final lap, but the Ducati rider fended him despite clearly struggling on worn tyres!

Jorge Martin follows Marco Bezzecchi to finish second. It's a 1-2 result for Aprilia!

Marco Bezzecchi is the 2026 Italian GP winner! The championship leader wins in the front of his home crowd! It's his fourth grand prix win of 2026, and the first since Austin in March.

Raul Fernandez eases past Fermin Aldeguer for seventh place, but it exactly won't exactly be a consolation for the Trackhouse rider after he qualified on the middle of the front row and won Saturday's sprint

Further behind, KTM's Brad Binder is fighting hard to hold on to 10th place. He is being chased by the three remaining Hondas - Joan Mir, Diogo Moreira and Luca Marini.

Ogura is now 2.2s behind Bagnaia. Can he pass Bagnaia and secure another 1-2-3 for Aprilia?

Acosta is suffering another late tyre drop-off. After losing a place to Ogura, he has also dropped behind di Giannantonio

It's important to remember that Acosta and Ogura were involved in a last-corner collision in Barcelona that ended with Acosta in the gravel and Ogura with a penalty

Ogura powers past Acosta into Turn 1. The two make contact as they exit the corner, but both riders continue without any drama

Bezzecchi has now stretched out a lead of over 2.5s! He is on course for his victory since the US GP in March

And both Acosta and di Giannantonio sweep past Marquez in quick succession. The Ducati rider has now dropped to seventh

And the battles continues! Marquez overtakes Acosta into Turn 1 but can't stop his bike in time, allowing Acosta back through. Ogura is also sensing an opportunity behind them

And it's not over between Acosta and Marquez. The latter is still fighting back against the youngster to retake fourth.

Bagnaia has already slipped nine tenths behind Martin in third. He still has a four-second buffer over the remainder of the field, led by Acosta

Meanwhile, Jorge Martin has eased past Francesco Bagnaia to claim second.
Bezzecchi is already 1.4s ahead, so a victory looks to be out of Martin's reach

And Acosta is finally through on Marquez at the end of lap 15

Bezzecchi is already a second clear on Bagnaia, who is now coming under pressure from Martin. Another Aprilia 1-2 might on the cards today

Acosta thought he had fourth place after passing Marquez into Turn 4, but the Ducati struck back at the final corner to reinstate  the status quo

Lead change

And Bezzecchi fires his Aprilia up the inside to take the lead. Can Bagnaia respond to his countryman?

Bezzecchi is ramping up the pressure on Bagnaia for the lead. The second half of the race promises to be a cracker

Enea Bastianini has crashed out at Turn 10. Suddenly, three riders are out of the race.

Cal Crutchlow's return is over. He has brought his LCR Honda back to the pits

Martin was four tenths faster than Bezzecchi on this lap. Looks like we are in for a three-way shootout at Mugello

We have the first crash of the race. Alex Rins has gone down at Turn 1.

Somehow, Marquez is still holding on to fourth place from Acosta and Aldeguer.

A tense battle is brewing at the front. Bezzecchi is now just two tenths behind Bagnaia.

Martin has slipped a second behind Bagnaia and Bezzecchi. Is he saving his tyres for a late charge?

Meanwhile, Fernandez has clawed his way back inside the top 10. Diggia, who also lost places on the opening lap, is up to eighth

Marquez dropped another place to Aldeguer, but somehow managed to repass both him and Acosta to retake fourth. What a fighting performance from the reigning champion
