Wheldon's future still up in the air
IRL champion Dan Wheldon says his future will be decided before the end of next month, but the Briton has refused to reveal in which series he will race in 2006
Wheldon, whose contract with Andretti-Green Racing expired last week, has been linked with a move to Formula One next year, with reports suggesting he could become a BMW test driver before making the switch to racing in 2007.
The 27-year old has said he is relying on his manager Julian Jakobi to find him the best possible deal, although he made it clear he knows where he wants to be in 2006.
"I trust Julian's judgement, I think he knows what is what," said Wheldon. "F1 is not only about being talented, you have to have all the right ingredients to get the results, whereas in the USA there is more emphasis on talent.
"I know which direction I want to go, but I have to see if it is the correct direction."
Asked about when his future will be decided, he said: "It will be before the end of the year, for sure."
