Campos Jr switches to Indy Lights

Adrian Campos Jr - the son of former Formula 1 driver and new F1 team boss Adrian Campos - has switched to American racing and will drive in Indy Lights this year

The 21-year-old Spaniard has spent the past four seasons in his national Formula 3 series, finishing fourth in last year's standings. He had a Formula Renault 3.5 test over the winter but has now signed to drive for Team Moore Racing in Indy Lights instead.

"This is a decision of a lifetime for my son and I support him," said Campos Sr. "I am completely sure that he can be one of the best drivers in the USA. He is mature and he has enough experience to do a great job."

TMR team boss Moore added: "Adrian's father has had teams in Europe that have won championships in everything from F3 to GP2 and he is currently testing the waters of F1 as a team owner.

"The man certainly knows what it takes to win races and [co-owner] Tom [Wood] and I are very proud that he and young Adrian chose Team Moore Racing to take him to the next level in his career."
