Saleen front row again
Just as in Valencia, the Saleen S7s dominate the front of the grid for round three of the FIA GT Championship at Magny-Cours. This time however Walter Lechner Jr managed to push the Konrad Motorsport version ahead of the Michael Bartels/Uwe Alzen example
Winners of the first two races and championship leaders Luca Cappellari and Fabrizio Gollin were third quickest in the all-conquering BMS Scuderia Italia Ferrari ahead of the improved JMB Racing Ferrari 575 driven by Karl Wendlinger, Toto Wolff and Robert Lechner.
Reigning champion Matteo Bobbi, who shares his BMS Scuderia Italia entry with Gabrielle Gardel was fifth fastest, while Jamie Campbell-Walter and Jamie Derbyshire qualified the privateer Creation Lister Storm sixth.
The factory Lister team withdrew from the event following a dispute with driver Andrea Piccini. The impressive Lamborghini which finished third in the hands of Oliver Gavin and Peter Kox is also not present this weekend.
Christian Pescatori and Fabrizio de Simone qualified on pole position for the NGT class in the G.P.C. Giesse Squadra Corse Ferrari Modena 360 ahead of the Freisinger Porsches of Sascha Maassen/Lucas Luhr and Stephane Ortelli/Emmanuel Collard.
