Panoz restructures back room staff
Panoz Motor Sports is boosting its 2000 chances by restructuring its racing organisation
Team owner Don Panoz has announced that David Price will be directing all racing activities from the New Year.
Panoz said, 'David was one of the first people I got to know when I started going motor racing in 1997, and I am therefore convinced that he's the ideal person to take the Panoz marque forward into the new millennium.
'I see his role at Panoz Motor Sports as very much being an expansion of our existing business relationship, and I know that his advice and experience will be crucial in the next growth stage of our team.'
Panoz is hoping the appointment will boost his team's chances of championship glory.
'The race team has developed over the last couple of years into a good, tight-knit unit of people, capable of winning multiple championships,' he added.
'So this is really just the next step forward to everyone.
'Our main goal will continue to be successful at Le Mans plus, of course, the expanded American Le Mans Series.'
