Le Mans am: Capello fastest
Italian Rinaldo Capello topped the times in the morning session of the pre-Le Mans 24 Hours test. The Audi Sport Japan Team Goh driver set a fastest time of 3m35.680s to shade Champion Audi R8 pilot Emanuele Pirro by 0.172secs
The Veloqx Audis were third and fourth fastest, with Johnny Herbert ahead Allan McNish, with Pescarolo Sport's Nicolas Minassian the best of the rest after setting a mark of 3m37.601s in his Courage-Judd.
Corvette driver Olivier Beretta set the GTS class pace, eclipsing the lead Prodrive Ferrari 550 Maranello shared by Tomas Enge, Peter Kox and Alain Menu, while former World Rally Champion Colin McRae had his first taste of the Le Mans circuit in the second Prodrive Ferrari.
