Kumpen and Longin take dominant win
Belgian duo Anthony Kumpen and Bert Longin scored a dominant victory in Sunday's FIA GT race at Oschersleben in Germany
Discounting pitstops, the Corvette C5.R effectively led the race from start to finish and quite simply wasn't troubled.
The pair have now taken the lead of the championship heading into their home race, the Spa 24 Hours.
Behind the lead car there was an entertaining battle for second between the Stefan Mucke/Christophe Bouchut Lamborghini and the Tomas Biagi/Michael Bartels Maserati.
After passing each other a couple of times during the race, Bartels moved ahead of Mucke during the final stint and raced clear to ensure he kept second spot.
After many of their rivals hit early trouble in GT2, the way was clear for the AF Corse pairing of Stephane Ortelli and Gianmaria Bruni to take the class win.
Emmanuel Collard bravely held off Tim Mullen's charging Scuderia Ecosse Ferrari to take second place by just about a car length.
