FIA GTs, Anderstorp: Lister on pole
Lister will start the fifth round of the FIA GT series from first and third positions after Jamie Campbell-Walter and Bobby Verdon-Roe put up excellent performances in qualifying
Campbell-Walter, who shares his Storm with Nicolaus Springer, set a pace of 1m30.601s in the top six Super Pole shoot-out, to deny the Carsport Holland Chrysler Viper of Fabrizio Gollin the pole.
"We have just had a little problem with the brakes which has made me wary," said Campbell-Walter. "It was quite a clean lap, and it was all very close. There will be some slip-streaming in the race, so I am hoping that everyone behaves themselves and gives each other enough room. The key is to get a good exit from the first corner and break the slipstream."
The Ferrari 550 Maranello of Andrea Piccini lines up fourth, ahead of Marc Duez's Viper. Christophe Bouchut rounds out the top six. Henrik Roos was the best of the rest in the second qualifying session and thus will start from seventh in his Viper GTS-R.
It was a Freisinger Motorsport one-two in the N-GT class, with Stephane Ortelli heading Stephane Daoudi. Antonio Garcia made it a Porsche clean sweep by securing the third starting slot for RWS in his 996 GT3-R.
