Biagi takes title at Zolder

Thomas Biagi is the 2007 FIA GT champion thanks to his third place with Michael Bartels in today's race at Zolder

The Vitaphone Racing Maserati MC12 driver ended the campaign with 61 points, four more than Jetalliance Racing's Ryan Sharp and Karl Wendlinger, who won the season finale from pole position with their Aston Martin DBR9.

Second place in the race went to PK Carsport's Anthony Kumpen/Bert Longin at the wheel of a Corvette C5R.

With a victory in the GT2 class in Belgium today, Dirk Muller and Toni Vilander won their title in style today. The two AF Corse Motorola Ferrari 430 drivers ended the season with 73 points, seven more than Stephane Ortelli and Gianmaria Bruni.

Second in class was Ebimotors Porsche of Marcello Zani and Xavier Pompidou, who finished ahead of Rui Aguas and Maurizio Mediani's Advanced Engineering Ferrari.

The results however are provisional pending engine checks on the Biagi/Bartels car in GT1 and on the Muller/Vilander car in GT2. The same applied with the results of anti-doping tests.
