Carsport Corvette takes TT pole
The Carsport Corvette of Jean-Denis Deletraz and Mike Hezemans will start from pole position for tomorrow's Tourist Trophy at Silverstone, round two of the FIA GT Championship
The Dutch team beat Karl Wendlinger and Ryan Sharp's JetAlliance Aston by 0.241 seconds.
Mika Salo and Thomas Biagi qualified third in the Vitaphone Maserati, with Salo taking reigning champion Michael Bartels' place this weekend while the German recovers from a kidney operation.
Tim Mullen and Andrew Kirkaldy put the lead Scuderia Ecosse Ferrari on GT2 pole, but their celebrity team-mate Nigel Mansell and co-driver Chris Niarchos were only ninth in class.
