Watts to race for Britain in China
Danny Watts will race for Team Great Britain in the second A1GP round of the season at Chengdu in two weeks
The Chinese round will be Britain's first race with the new car after the team was one of several to miss the season opener at Zandvoort earlier this month.
Watts, a former British F3 race winner and ex-Renault F1 team development driver, will be the fourth driver to race for Team GBR following Robbie Kerr, Darren Manning and Oliver Jarvis.
He previously took part in the rookie sessions for Britain at the Zhuhai round in 2007 and was also one of the test drivers for the development phase of this season's new Powered by Ferrari car.
"It's a great privilege to be asked to drive for Team GBR," said Watts. "I've had the experience of driving both A1GP cars and the new Powered by Ferrari car is a big step up in all areas.
"There will be more for me and the team to learn technically, so it will definitely be a challenge, particularly having missed the first round.
"The goal will be to score as many points as possible in Chengdu in order to get GBR's championship battle underway because we can't drop any races for the rest of the year."
