The FIA Presidency election takes place this December and former steward Tim Mayer recently revealed that he is preparing to challenge incumbent Mohammed Ben Sulayem, who has been a controversial figure since being elected in 2021

It was recently revealed that former FIA Steward Tim Mayer would be running a challenge for the Presidency of FIA, running against current president Mohammed Ben Sulayem in December.

In an exclusive interview with James Allen, Tim explains why now is the time for him to run for FIA President, his 35-year history of being in motorsport, and what he’d do differently as President of the FIA with recent controversies like the swearing ban of Singapore 2024.
