Tough Choice for Arden on Driver
Arden International believe that the decision of who will drive for Great Britain's A1 Grand Prix team will not be unanimous - because all four shortlisted drivers were so close during testing
Ralph Firman, Robbie Kerr, Alex Lloyd and James Rossiter all tested an Arden International F3000 car at Brands Hatch Indy circuit.
Members of Arden, who are running the A1 GBR team, will meet with team boss John Surtees and other representatives to decide who will land the coveted drive in the inaugural World Cup of Motorsport.
Arden believe that the mixture of youth and experience tested during the two days has not yet thrown up a lead contender for the drive.
Arden International's Matt Jones told Autosport-Atlas: "They have given us a difficult decision from the off. All four have got pure, natural talent, and they all have different abilities and strengths.
"We have four drivers all with the right attributes. All four would make a good driver it is just choosing which is the best one. I doubt this will be a unanimous decision.
" We are evaluating their personality rather than the skill. We need someone who will not just be successful but who can communicate with the team. When you are spending so much time away from home we need somebody everyone likes and gets on with.
"There was not one who was head and shoulders above the others and there was no-one who we can easily discount."
