For Jon Lancaster, winning the 2015 European Le Mans Series was the highlight of a career which had been plagued by the never-ending search for a budget and curtailed campaigns year after year. That title success was supposed to be his big break, reigniting a career which had begun to stall and allow him to move onto bigger and better things.
