Porsche Penske take Mid-Ohio 1-2
Romain Dumas and Timo Bernhard led a Penske Motorsports 1-2 at Mid-Ohio to score the team's fifth straight overall victory in the American Le Mans Series with their Porsche RS Spyder
The #7 car led home the sister P2 #6 car driven by Sascha Maassen and Ryan Briscoe, with the best placed P1 being the Audi R10 of Emanuele Pirro and Marco Werner coming in third.
The sister Audi of Dindo Capello and Allan McNish could do no better than fifth, as it was beaten by the P2 #15 Lola of Adrian Fernandez and Luis Diaz in fourth.
The only GT1 cars participating were the Corvette C6.Rs of Olivier Beretta/Oliver Gavin and Johnny O'Connell/Jan Magnussen, finishing in 11th and 12th place respectively.
The GT2 class was won by Johannes van Overbeek and Jorg Bergmeister with their #45 Porsche 911 GT3 RSR, who finished 14th overall. Second in class was the #62 Ferrari 430GT Berlin driven by Mika Salo and Jaime Melo.
