Pescarolo complete clean sweep

Pescarolo Sport finished the season with a fifth win from five races at Jarama last weekend

Emmanuel Collard, Didier Andre and Jean-Christophe Boullion held off an early challenge from the Courage of Jean-Marc Gounon, Gregor Fisken and Alexander Frei.

Gounon led briefly two hours into the race, but gearbox problems ruled his car out of contention, and also ended the challenge of the sister car of Shinji Nakano and Haruki Kurosawa.

In a race where the majority of the front-runners suffered mechanical problems, the ASM Team Racing for Portugal Lola finished second, with Angel Burgueno, Miguel de Castro and Miguel Amaral behind the wheel.

The RML team suffered heartbreak in the LMP2 class, as a seized engine just six minutes from the end handed the class title to the Barazi Epsilon team.

Second place was enough for Pedro Lamy, Gabriele Gardel and Vincent Vosse to seal the GT1 title, although a second win of the season went to the Saleen of Stephane Ortelli and Soheil Ayari.

Warren Hughes and Robert Bell took GT2 honours for Team LNT, although the title had already been decided in favour of Autorlando Sport.
