New Historic Hall at Autosport International

Haymarket Exhibitions, the London based organiser of the annual Autosport International show at the NEC in Birmingham, will introduce a new Historic Motorsport Hall in January 2005. Dedicated to historic racing and rallying, the new event will be managed by Tony May, and promoted in association with Haymarket's Classic & Sportscar and Motor Sport magazines

Autosport International, now in its 15th year, has included many historic competition cars since its inception, but this will be the first time that specific companies and event organisers will have their own hall dedicated to the historic motorsport industry.

May, who will oversee the development of the venture, formerly ran Centre Exhibitions at the NEC for over 20 years, and was one of the organisers of this year's inaugural International Historic Motorsport Show at Stoneleigh Park.

He commented: "Historic motorsport in its many forms represent the largest growth area of world motorsport, and will now be fully integrated into Autosport International. I'm delighted to be joining the team at Haymarket Exhibitions and look forward to a great show."
