MIA's Middle East and USA export day

The Motorsport Industry Association, the UK trade body, has organised an information day to help UK companies in establishing or growing export markets in the Middle East and North America, in particular NASCAR and IndyCar Series oval racing. The free event will be open to allcomers on March 26 at the MIA's HQ at Stoneleigh Park

During the morning session, CEO Chris Aylett will outline the results of his recent fact-finding trip to the Middle East, to prepare for the MIA's forthcoming trade mission to Bahrain, Dubai and Qatar over May 8-12. Delegates will receive a free copy of the MIA's market report, which examines the opportunities now emerging in the region for a wide range of UK motorsport, leisure and high-performance engineering businesses.

The afternoon session will focus on NASCAR and the Indy Racing League in the USA. Representatives of Alcon Components and Goodridge UK will explain the steps they took to increase their transatlantic export activity.

The MIA, which is also putting together a trade mission to Charlotte and Mooresville, NC, over May 24-27, took a small mission party to the 2004 in Detroit, MI, USA, earlier this month.
